another movie outing...

watched 'constantine' and 'saw' with the usual 'movie gang' today (jasmine,steffi,sarah) and also muhaimin (who drove steffi,jasmine and me there) and sarah's sister (ithink her name is nadia?). anyway, 'constantine' was cool. i loved it. and keanu reeves looks as delicious on screen as ever. you know, i'd give a short synopsis on it, but i have trouble finding the words to do so. there was i nice twist towards the end when constantine learns that the angel gabriel has been causing the trouble (sort of) i don't know why she did that...that part was not so clear to me (or maybe i was distracted by other things?) hmm...maybe i can try to find a pirated dvd so i can watch it again. ok,ok...i know buying pirated stuff is bad,but there are reasons for that. firstly, it's cheaper. secondly,it comes out earlier before the original stuff. thirdly, some movies (however good everyone else in other parts of the world say so) might not make it to the malaysian cinemas, so how do get them? altogether now *pirated CDs* but on the other hand, there are cons to buying pirated CDs. the quality is not as good as original one,not all the time,anyway. secondly, a pirated CD's extra features are not as good as original ones. you know...stuff like extra footage, deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes,commentarries, all that stuff. but then, a movie buff's gotta do what a movie buff's gotta do. ok, enough about me ranting on piracy. i haven't talked about the second movie we watched, 'saw'. well,steffi told me that muhaimin told her that the movie has a lot of gory scenes, since this is about a psycopath who influences other people to kill themselves. so yeah, staying true to my squeamish self, i covered my eyes with my hands the whole time :) the movie has a nice unexpected twist,though. when the bad guy revealed himself, i was like, "f*** that guy! f***him! f***!!!" oh yeah, jasmine has fallen in love with the 'adam' character (a crush, for once, that we do not share) when adam was harmed in any way in the movie she'll be like "on,no! adam! why? adam!!" haih..macam-macam lah you,woman...but that's what i like about you ;)
